        One from the archives
HMS Spurious. ‘Batsman’ training at Easthaven, satalite to HMS Condor at Arbroath. A bit of artistic licence on spacing, although aboard ship it is about right. I think the FAA Museum has the bus!

Interesting scene Jim …. I have a great respect for the pilots who worked to such narrow margins….. and the aircrew on multis who had to simply watch and hope!

Good example of the environment we worked in.

I thought they’d never end!. But they did. However they are returning, ‘not as we know it’ but never the less once a Chockhead always a Chockhead.

Never ceases to amaze me how you folks crammed all that high tech hardware into such a small space . Not to mention hot, cold , wet ,windy and in motion up ,down , sideways and forwards. The thought’s enough to make an old crab go for a lie down in a darkened hangar!

Believe it or not, but a quick five minute game of ‘deck hockey’ could be played there as well.
