Hi there,
I’m just getting started on my first pen and ink drawing since the Christmas card drawing last year (yikes!). Feels good to be starting something new, though. I recently ordered a Sakura Pigma Micron pen that’s even smaller than my usual 005 size. This new one is 003, which is .15 mm in size. It’s super for fine, tiny details, so I’m really enjoying that. I’m working from a photo from the Reference Image Library kindly shared by Canis Lupess. Thank you so much for the wonderful photo!
I hope you’ll all follow along in this WIP! C&C are welcome as I go. Thank you for looking.
My graphite outline (darkened so it shows up on screen).
And this is where the drawing is now. Just getting started. Please excuse the poor photos…I used my cell phone for the pictures.

May 28, 2018 at 12:08 am #624627Oh my!! I’m pulling up a chair for this one. It’s been many years since I worked in this style.
Too bad Toni-Marie won’t see this. I don’t think she comes here (Wetcanvas) much anymore.

June 1, 2018 at 10:26 am #624631Beautiful start, Jenna. I like Micron pens a lot. My standby pens. I also use Prismacolor and Zig Millennium. Zigs were my first and hadn’t seen them for a while so just got some to see….

My website https://jocastilloart.comJune 1, 2018 at 12:44 pm #624640Thanks so much Jo! I also use the Prismacolors…they are so nice and crisp, aren’t they? I haven’t heard of the Zig Millennium. I enjoy trying all different types of ink, so I’ll have to be watching for those.
