Morning rooftop plein air

Good afternoon, everybody. Just thought id share my morning activity.

I'll probably take it back out this week and round out the squirly bits. I was attracted to the abstract quality of the rooftops.

Thanks for the look!

Re: Morning rooftop plein air

A little update. Still needs a few bits, now that I have it inside.

I saw some crows flying above to the left and thought they'd be cool to put in, but I don't want it too macabre lol.

I like the geometric feel to this and the warm pastel greys. Gary

Thanks, Gary! Im glad to hear it reads as geometric.

Hopefully once I lay in the trees it'll have more attractive edges. Thanks!

Re: Morning rooftop plein air

I finally got some time to update this guy. I'm hoping a couple more finished bits and touching up the foliage will round it out.

Thanks for looking

Nice abstraction of realistic shapes. I like the way the sky-shape dominates.

I finally got around to this guy. I think it's roughly done. I might drop some subtle higher lights on the far right tree, but it's close! Thanks for the looks and support, everybody.

Re: Morning rooftop plein air

I like this a lot. It has a statement on modernity meets nature. This seems to represent a moment of nature clashing with man. The painting is like a question. The question may be "who wins?" or "who will win?" Both are interesting questions. And I'm not certain which question is being asked.

Well done. This is truly art.
