Re: Project Discussion: wetcanvas paint out!

Just signed up...I've only painted plein air one time before (and absolutely horrified by the results ) so taking a huge challenge with this! I have all the stuff I need to do it--just haven't quite got around to actually PAINTING...although I have sketched outside a little bit.

Sure hope I don't embarrass myself...at least the weather will finally cooperate (it has been absolutely HOT here lately--Upper 80's/Low 90's-multiple days; semi-high humidity--suppose it could be worse!); going to be in the 70's next week--PERFECT TIMING!

The Art Project System (under Content Areas at the top) is used much more in other forums. If you click Brwse Projects you can look at some of the previous projects from other forums.

Re: Project Discussion: wetcanvas paint out!

I'm looking forward to this. It will only be my second attempt at plein air painting so the results could be entertaining! Hopefully I'll be able to get out on the Saturday and do something.

Re: Project Discussion: wetcanvas paint out!

What a great idea I will have to wait to sign up and keep an eye on the weather reports. We have rain every day and that is one sort of water too much when painting with watercolours It gives wet on wet a new meaning.

Re: Project Discussion: wetcanvas paint out!

I signed up but realise now I got my dates mixed up. We will be on holiday starting the 8th of august only and I planned making the painting over there somewhere between the 8th and the 15th. I don't know if I'll be able to do one the day we arrive. I hope so.

I think it will be acceptable the project never closes so your painting will be seen.

Just signed up! Hope the rain stops in time ...

Are we supposed to be painting every day during the week or just when we can?
