Use to denote nudity/mature subject matter WIP - iMonitor Kinbaku xpost oils

One in a series of still lifes where the main light source is an iPad, iPhone, monitor... 70 x 81cm. So far 40 hours on setup and getting monitor images, and then 140 hours painting.

The title will probably be Kinbaku, which is the Japanese art of rope binding, used in bondage, also called Shibari in English. The still life should tell a story, and of course the story I am telling has references and meanings that are relevant to me. Other people will of course make their own meanings and assumptions, and I will let it be at that.

details:

Much still to do: furby and duck/eye need highlights, post-its need softening so text isn't so harsh, colors need to be reflected in the table, all objects and their shadows need final glazing which will make them darker (in order to contrast with the light values coming from the monitor), duck and plant need extra darkening glazes... House on left looks too kitsch to me, may try to remove....

What else needs fixing?

3rd color layer. What values, colors.... needs fixing before I call this finished?

The photo shows all dark shadows as black but in actuality there is the color of the objects reflected in the shadows.

3rd and final color layer. Fixed issues with the glass, soda, reflections...

An interesting busy subject but a good modern still life.
I've been contemplating something along these lines myself.
only quibble is the colours seem very saturated, but maybe it's just my screen.
