Hello Spotters~~
I'm posting because I see this painting a bit differently than the others--I do not wish to be contrarian. I want only to show support for the plusses.
The size is a very manageable 18 x 20 - I imagine it hanging on a wall. It would certainly cheer up a room and because it is so interesting to me I don't consider it to be too busy. I like that my eye keeps wandering all over it.
Jumper has a very good idea regarding adding some light green to the dark area, perhaps in the upper left, to be a counterbalance to the happy blob on the lower right.
As for those lines.....I like them very much in the second version--again imagining that I am viewing this on a wall, not on a computer screen right in front of my face. The second version reminds me of a stained glass window--I adore stained glass windows with their rich colors, so this painting makes me very happy.
Because I enjoy both versions of the painting, I urge you to paint more than one at least (why I noted the manageable size). I think that it is a winner worthy of several fully-finished sister paintings. Friends will love it, buyers will want to have it. Courage!

It's very busy and you mentioned you didn't like the lines in the first piece but you have actually made them darker in the second, also I don't think the colours are working together all that well..I think you need to take out the dark lines and re think the colour mix in this one..hope that helps a bit.
