Seems that this entry has prompted a lot of us to be innovative with our little brushes!

Re: DIFFERENT STROKES January 2008

Well, I'm glad to hear others have gone through some twists and turns with this one...

I'm calling it done--but with days 'til we sound off, we shall see if I leave it alone...I'm really not sure what I think of it. But right now I feel like if I never do another city scape, it'll be too soon!

Me too... mine (so far, not done yet) certainly fits into Maureen's "has strokes, is different" category, sounds like a lot of them will. This unveiling is going to be a lot of fun I think.

As long as it's acrylics, anything goes!

Hope you're not flooded out down there - it looked bad on tv last night

Some parts have flooded already, we're lucky where we are, our house doesn't flood but the main roads out of it do, so we become a little island...lol..i'm fine as long as I have some food and of course some grenache rose (curtesy of our californian friends!). We had a lucky escape with the rain today so fingers are crossed. ty for your concern.

ok, 2moro i'm going to start my first different strokes, i'm on catch up now.!

see you all in 3 days!

Mine is both abstract and wierd- when I showed it to my husband, he actually recoiled in horror! Can't wait to see everyone's abstractions.

I'm excited! I went for color, not realism! My first city-scape and my first trees. I love my trees! Not sure about the buildings but hey, it was fun! Vicki

My husband looked at it and walked away saying nothing--I said "That's it? You're not even going to say anything?" He just kept walking.
