Well this one only took a few seconds:
Quote:
My work explores the relationship between Bauhausian sensibilities and urban spaces.
With influences as diverse as Derrida and Andy Warhol, new tensions are manufactured from both explicit and implicit meanings.
Ever since I was a student I have been fascinated by the unrelenting divergence of the human condition. What starts out as undefined soon becomes corrupted into a tragedy of defeat, leaving only a sense of unreality and the unlikelihood of a new reality.
As spatial derivatives become distorted through studious and academic practice, the viewer is left with an impression of the undefined of our condition.

Arty Bollocks Generator.. Lots of fun to play with.
For definitions of terms, try
ArtLex, it's a pretty useful online art term dictionary.
As for your question re. what to call stepping back and looking at a painting, I usually call it "stepping back and looking at a painting", while if someone can't tell what I've drawn until I point it out, I use the term "subtle" for the drawing, and "stupid" for the other person. (Self criticism is not one of my strong points). Not much help, I guess
