I did this as an exercise in another forum. I rushed the submission and puttered some more, resulting in a better [to my eye]image. Lesson learned. Either quit puttering or put it away and look with fresh eyes in the morning before submitting it as ‘finished’ :rolleyes:

I always like to hear the critiques and thoughts so feel free..thanks.

Wonderful image. More colour in the second one but I do like both. Nicely painted too, I would have trouble guessing the medium.

Thanks so much for the feedback Michelle..😊 There are so many wonderful brushes available its pretty easy to get a painterly effect. My trouble is remembering which brush I used. 😬

Thanks so much for the encouragement @digiartdave @Lucy-Foote @Willowshades..very appreciated!

@LavenderFrost Michelle, I’m using Photoshop CC and a cintiqu 22. I used mostly the brushes Adobe offers on their site..the Kyle brushes. He has lots of different brushes that mimic watercolor and pastel ..so much fun.
