Not done live…as I didn’t have my sketchbook with me at that time…I was attracted to the red cap, the reflected red on the mother’s chin and the way the boy’s body is turned while being held by the mom…
charcoal pencil and red pastel.

Thanks so much David I did consider if I’d want to include the bottom of the table but as I really wanted to complete the figure, I went ahead with it…maybe I should darken the legs a little more?
