First Mural and Two Birds

Hello all!!
Been away for two weeks visiting my daughter and family, they moved into their new home last month and just fixing it up.

My Grandson is 2 1/2 and loves Toy Story, especially Buzz and Woody!
after we began painting his room a very pale light blue. I told my daughter, its a shame I didn't bring up my projector with me or I could paint a mural of Buzz and Woody for Mathew. I usualy only use a projector when trying to get features placed right. So don't you know it my daughter comes home from work one day with a projector, only its an overhead projector, which used transparents rather then sending a copy of a photos onto the canvas like I'm used to. Then she comes up with the idea of using a sheet protector as the transparent. It worked. I had already made a sketch from a few items of his toys, but when we went to get more paints at Michaels we found a jumbo coloring book and used one of the pages and traced it with marker on the sheet protector and worked great!!
I know of copyright laws but this is not for gain or sale and only for personal use.
size is 50"wide x 28" high on one wall is my grandsons room.
Used Liquitex Acrylic paints, mostly the "Basics" and some of my heavy body Liquitex paints.

I love ALL of these! The little blue bird is my favorite. He looks so shy. Maybe a title like "Shy Baby" or something. I can't think of anything for the gull, except maybe "Cry Baby" lol, because he's squawking about something.

Ahhhh, the first painting for the grandchild is so sweet, who could not love it. Love the little blue bird - the gull reminds me of a woman I knew who kept secrets entrusted to her in just such a way! Nice work, just couldnt resist a poke at the squawker!

Re: First Mural and Two Birds

The mural is so well done. Your grandson must love it. The little blue bird is so sweet and the gull is well just how a gull is always yakking. Nice work.

The bluebird seems to be looking intently on something. How about "Birds Eye View"

The gull looks like they do when some other gull took their food away. Maybe "Heh that was my mine"

Wow Kathie! That mural is fantastic! I thought it was a transfer. You ought to market yourself to peditricians /day care facilities and charge by the square foot .
