Thanks so very much....delicious works for me. When I paint colour within foliage I always feel that richness you describe as well.
Thanks again for the comments.

Caroline

Always appreciate your comments....in the autumn our North just has so much to offer in the way of colour and textures.

Thanks Randy...appreciate your comments. Yes lots of good fishing spots in this river with some deep runs and backwater pools that hold trout.

Re: Autumn High Water

Wow you're really good. I could learn a thing or two from you. I like your style of painting, with all those details you put into the trees and water. Not only that, but I can tell you used a few layers in the foliage, which I do a lot too, and I appreciate that painstaking effort because I know it takes a lot of time and patience. I also like how you have that bluish tone across the water to complement the rest of the painting with its browns and greens.

Re: Autumn High Water

Thanks so much Andre, I appreciate the wonderful comments and yes you are right about the many layers working up the texture and colour. I love painting water for movement and flow too.
Thanks again
John

Excellent - quite vivid. Very enjoyable - almost a story within itself.
