Guys, there are too many fantastic pieces here to comment individually - and I am coming in too late. It is a joy to scroll through all the posts and wish, study, learn, admire ......

Here my little contribution. Size is A4, Bristol smooth drawing carton. Coloured pencils, framed.

Like I said before, after this work I hope you continue using color for your portraits. I like the how you applied the values on this young lady. Wunderbar.

Re: Portrait Gallery - Post them here also!

Some lovely work on this thread. I've been busy last few months. Here's what I've been up to. Time lapse videos of me painting them, and others, are on my YouTube channel, for those interested. http://www.youtube.com/user/vicjharris

And one also posted on self-portraits

Re: Portrait Gallery - Post them here also!

Great variety in this gallery, a treat to stroll through. Just a few comments on some that caught my eye.

Philippe56: great charcoal study, full of life.
ArtsyMomx3: beautiful portrait of the kids. Very clear, serene.
nexussix: great skill. Like the youngster's portraits.
Yannse: The wee girl's portrait is sensitive and delicate.
Dollardays: like the blue tone and romantic feel in this, Byronesque!
Tj1358: very sensitive and delicate portrait.
KG Hunter: there's a quiet, dark intensity about your work. Haunting.
NancyMP: the grandson portrait is so clear and direct. Lovely delicate background textures.
Journeyman: I like your brisk, unfussy approach. You're prolific!
Larubia: lovely floral girl and praying girl. the interior is a departure. ILike it.
DebbieO: like that pastel!
BettyBoop22: pert and lively personality conveyed by the strongly contrasting colours.
DanaDesign: disturbing child with raven.
