I’ve made a start on the Figuary 2020 challenge. First two days tackled. I’ve decided to post three results from each day.
Feel free to comment or just look. I guarantee I will not berate you for your naïvety or lecture you on the philosophy of art…….
Let’s see how it goes.DAY 1DAY 2

February 4, 2020 at 7:08 pm #942666They are digital, Bethany. In Procreate on the iPad Pro using the Apple Pencil. I have the vids on a separate iPad on an easel. I’m just plunging in and posting thing exactly as they come out,
HOWEVER…..I have just realised that these are NOT the 2020 poses! They seem to be from last year or maybe earlier! Duh….
So that was just a warm up……I have now located the correct videos and will make a start tomorrow.C&C always welcome.
Instagram harry.hamillFebruary 5, 2020 at 7:27 am #942695Well you got involved anyway, a year late well done on these. I am still of the opinion that one minute gestures do no more than loosen the wrists, two minutes i can cope with, just

Instagram harry.hamillFebruary 7, 2020 at 8:10 am #942698wow, you’re really getting to grips with this Harry. I tried those 15 seconds and gave up on them in despair – Ill be trying again though. The strange thing is the ‘instruction video’ doesn’t go near them and the guy they use to demonstrate often pauses the video. A case of do as I say not as i do I think

https://www.instagram.com/the_henson_gallery/February 8, 2020 at 2:57 am #942664Wonderful gesture drawings. I like 2 minutes for a sketch. When I drew with a group I always tried to do one of the face. Of course it depended where I sat.
Arlene - C & C always appreciated

instagram.com/ababadartFebruary 8, 2020 at 4:33 am #942671Thanks for your comments. I have only taken a brief look at the instructional vids, should go back to them. It does seem to be defeating the object of the exercise to pause the poses if the idea is to work contre le montre. I am doing the lot as is and I do think it is beneficial. Having fun with it anyway, always my main aim…..
All caught up now!
