Re: Project Discussion: Black & White

I have a terrier, a lab, one short hair cat and one long hair cat. I have two of those "pet" vacuums but it's a losing battle. (I vacuum so much, I bought one for each floor of the house) I think the lab and the long hair cat have an ongoing competition to outshed each other. The terrier prefers to drag in mud and the short hair cat likes to shred things. They are all rotten to the core.
I'm taking my time, my eyes have not been behaving lately, Lord knows what you'll all end up with.

Re: Project Discussion: Black & White

That's a shame! I know there used to be an option to have people who accidentally signed up or had to back out remove themselves but I couldn't find it.

Only they can remove themselves. They go to my projects and there is an option to remove on that page.

Re: Project Discussion: Black & White

Sorry I haven't chatted for a bit but I went over my limit with my ISP and my speed was slowed to "next to useless" . Anyway have increased my plan....amazing how now I am home all the time I look at more art videos on you tube and Artists Network, I love my subscription with them - it's art on tap! I can't afford workshops but its like lots of demonstrations for less than the price of many short workshops - and no I don't work for them .

Am at a stop for the moment on the cards as doing some more sketches - when happy with them I will be off and running with the next batch - that is if I am not cleaning up hairy little dut bunnies ha ha

Re: Project Discussion: Black & White

Jeanne,

I really love it. Some of the videos are stuff that you might already know but an artist does it a little differently to what you have been shown....sometimes I nee the basics hammered in too .

I have been looking at a lot of watercolour artists as I want to loosen up - there are all sorts of interesting things and even oif I just one idea, see a simple tool that is useful.....or even the fact that we all know that you tap a brush and get drops I read read about it all the time but in one video there was a nice little section on that while she was demonstrating about how to get spatter and not just big blobs! I find that invaluable as you can't get it from reading, no matter how generous the information in a book.

There are many artists that I have heard of and many I never have before - colour specialists......you can hunt just for mediums and if you are like me and little mudle-headed at times can watch them over and over until the idea sinks in! ha ha

Re: Project Discussion: Black & White

Sunface, I pm'ed you, there's a spot free now. Shower graciously removed herself as she had other obligations!
Sue, I like watching videos and using books so I can take my time and go over and over them too.
Especially books, I love art books. My husband knows to get ready to be ignored when I bring out the books.
Jeanne, I thought that was an art link but that's a link to a puppy cam, they are adorable.

Re: Project Discussion: Black & White

I can't stop watching them even when they are asleep. I have seen them feeding twice now. They really do pull hard. Ouch. EP gave me the cam site. At this rate, I won't get many cards finished.

Re: Project Discussion: Black & White

I prefer ATC size Maria, but can live with the odd 4 x 6 if you are more comfortable with that size. Glad you could join us.
