Church from reference photo library

Thanks to chia for the awesome photo

This is actually from the October challenge

Posted one to the challenge thread, but wanted to give it another try. Ended up painting it 4 times

First picture is the reference photo

The rest are 4" x 6" watercolors on 140 CP paper

C&C always welcome

I think you did a fine job of the various little paintings of them.

Bravo!! Each one has it's own personality because of the color changes. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite but I like the tones of the second one best I think.

Hey, thanks for the comments

Think I like the last one best

The second and third, I was playing around with tube greens and couldn't really tone them down.

I normally mix all greens. The first and last are mixed using prussian, raw sienna, and a touch of burnt umber.

What a great lot of Church paintings. My favourite is the first one. It is amazing how different versions appeal to different people, which makes it a great exercise.
