This is a work in progress, 4th in the series. I like it and hate it at the same time but it’s early yet…

My DeviantArt GalleryMarch 11, 2019 at 8:56 pm #796538Thanks! I hope I don’t wreck it haha. I’m kinda new at painting technique and would love any tips on getting a glow around the monolith, waterfall and energy column. It’s 11×14 acrylic on masonite.

For a glow you could try taking a small amount of paint on a slightly damp brush and kind of rub it on for a soft look. Be aware that this technique eats brushes though lol.
C&C always welcome. Michelle

Every painting is a new adventure.March 13, 2019 at 12:11 pm #796539I certainly have a bunch of frazzled brushes, haha. It’s so much easier in Photoshop, but that’s the old way…

March 13, 2019 at 12:42 pm #796533This is looking great. Another way to get a great glow is to have a high contrast with soft edges. this is looking nice and glowy already though so I think whatever you’re doing is working.
Love the colors to boot.
