Wanted to share a piece from a few years ago, think this little horror treat will fit nicely with this group. This paper sculpture was inspired by the novel ‘Firestarter’ by Stephen King.

Specifications: 24″ x 12″ mixed media paper sculpture
Card stock and foam core for the armature
Prismacolor pencil on Mi-Teints paper
The challenge was to create a reasonable portrait of a young child with sculpted paper. This was a learning exercise with much room for improvement. While a real teddy bear was used for reference, no harm came to him. Thanks for letting me share!

That’s amazing. Her expression is blood curdling. What an evil little darling!

Wonderful look to this and so well done! Innocence and terror in one vision.
Any chance at seeing a side view for the 3-D effect?

KerryOriginals ~ the background, including poor poor teddy, is a colored pencil painting/drawing. The little girl is the only 3D element. Unfortunately all sense of depth is lost in the photo. The face is made up of three pieces glued over a cardstock armature or “skull”. The trick was hiding the seams of the different pieces with colored pencil.
vmrs ~ that impish smile was in the reference photo but I exaggerated the size of her eyes slightly for dramatic effect. Evil little darling indeed! Looks like she’s thinking about what – or who – to burn next. Maybe me…maybe yooouuu!
talisman ~ Unfortunately no WIP pics to share.
