Re: May Fantasy and Sci-Fi Art Monthly Challenge and Chat! May 2018

No computer games? How horrible!

You know what, I think I just got an idea that would fit this challenge. My favourite game on Roblox now is Fantastic Frontier. It has many unusual harvestable items, mostly flowers and mushrooms, and I was thinking one day of trying to paint some of them in a more realistic way.

Not intricate but a different type thing for me, it's still only in my head but Monday I plan to do some work on it.

Yes, we had bad storms also and I was having flashbacks to last year, almost to the day of the terrible floods.
Thankfully it was nothing like that!

Yeah, and Civ2 hadn't reached the boring part, yet. Still coming up dry for this one, but I am watching interestedly as Susie's progresses. Thing is, I don't like landscapes.
Still raining today, so I guess I will keep on working in Acrylics.

Okay, big guy, we will allow puns done in French. This time.

I have gotten a lot done on my submission. I took my pic to work ad worked on it during my lunch hour. And, no, I didn't get any salad dressing on it!

I would think a Fracophone (and Francophile) like you would be more tolerant of puns, smurf. Who was it that thought that sans pair, sans pere, et sans paire was so hilarious?

Well, that was hilarious. Not to say witty.

Woody, you would only surprise us if you painted something with no women in it.

Well, Susie is on the ball this month. I'm sure Bill will think of something. It doesn't have to be a landscape, just something from nature.

My idea is slowly taking shape in my head.

Congrats. Wish mine was, Michelle. But I am making good progress on my Acrylics pic.

Well, there are always dinosaurs, puppies, and the occasional landscape that I do....but all in all you're probably right.

I was having a discussion of many laughs with the writer David Schow on Facebook and he asked me if I ever did artwork of women with small breasts and I sent him this image of a pastel I did of one of my gal pals, Ginger, who I nick named LITTLE RED.

My big mistake was that I didn't message him privately and uploaded the image in a "reply" and quick as greased lightning, the Facebook minions and their computers got me and banned me for 30 days.

I think it's funny.

Below is the horrible pastel pornography....

Facebook's loss, Woody. I think that woman is very attractive and not at all pornographic, myself.

Bill this is one of the most open challenges ever....anything in nature, or part of nature with a fantasy or sci-fi spin on it.
Mine is not a landscape...if it ever goes from just an idea to canvas that is.
I haven't even got an idea for the acrylics challenge...love the artist but not sure what to do with it.

Re: May Fantasy and Sci-Fi Art Monthly Challenge and Chat! May 2018

You could do the "Girl with a Pearl Earring" as an elf for the acrylics challenge. Make her a dryad and it would work for both challenges.

I'm one of those odd people that likes Vermeer's outdoor scenes better than his indoor scenes and portraits.

I speak french with a very thick Canadian accent of course. If you speak Frenchy french, Canadians can be hard to understand. We drawl and throw in other languages, I had a french lit teacher in high school who was from Europe and hated our accents. It always takes me a few days back home to get in the groove of speaking french again.

I didn't paint at all today, I did more and more gardening. I'm done my house and next week, I'll help my son and his girlfriend do their house which will be fun.

Tomorrow, I'm going fishing!
