Absolutely those colors are working, really like the fireside warmth on his right side. This is just going to be one of those really nice pieces of work.

Very nice! I had also wondered if the signs on the beam would stand out to much, but you you handled those nicely! Looking forward to the rest!

Re: 20 min. before dinner: WIP
Yeah , I thought maybe the hand [especially the finger] was 'lost' against the background window, but no , it worked out great.

Re: 20 min. before dinner: WIP
Yeh! I love these details within details - they go so well in this kind of work (IMHO!) ..... how about the cert. being open and the magic words being seen? - just kidding - I think you've started my mind of on a train ........

Re: 20 min. before dinner: WIP
I dont think the idea complicates the picture at all. to me, this type of detail (and humor) is just your style. The one thing I am think, and this only comes from viewing off a website, depending on the size of the original, it looks like a lot of detail, for some thing you might not see. unless lets say you post a close up, I doubt you will see it. on a webpage, doubt you will as well. But if its clear in the original, that is really what matters. I am impressed by your detail. the more to find and look at the longer I am looking.

Re: 20 min. before dinner: WIP
Thanks again everyone,
I hope this isn't getting outta hand hahahaha ...... ?
I was browsing some old archived art of mine and I found these mice and a cat I did in photoshop 6 when I first got it. I think I may crop these guys and just add them to the lower right corner of the wizard piece. I can do that, right? (I know I'm cheating a bit) but heck now the mice and the cat finally have a home.

Re: 20 min. before dinner: WIP
I know I'm jumping in on this a little late but somehow I missed this wonderful thread so far o.O
In any case I love the image and find it very inspiring to watch your development for the entire scene. All the little details have me captivated. It's like I can look at the image and discover something new with every time. Just lovely.
And awww, that a cute kitty there. I think she and the mice woiuld make a nice addition to the entire scene.

Re: 20 min. before dinner: WIP
I dont see anything wrong with adding them, they well done as much. Just more to look. I know some folks get overloaded with the detail, me, just loving it all.

Re: 20 min. before dinner: WIP
Like the zooming out effect going on , did you have that all planned out [at least in your head]? btw- ya forgot the kitchen sink, lol . I've seen a comic strip like that were it kept zooming out from frame to frame. I agree with others to see it fully coloured .
