The pumpkin festival

This is a little event that happens in a local pub. People gather with their pumpkins to consume a fair amount of beer and cider and discuss all things pumpkin. It’s not just about the biggest, there are pumpkins of all sizes shapes and colours.

Not my usual subject matter but I saw these guys last year and took a few photos, just got around to painting them. 12” x 12” oil on board. Comments and critiques welcome.

One blue sky above us,
One ocean lapping all our shore,
One Earth so green and round,
Who could ask for more. ....Pete Seeger

Ha! I like it. Good humoured and humorous. Maybe there should be more of a suggestion of detail beneath the table but certainly doesn't need much.
C&C always welcome.
