Marit - work in progress

Mdf prepared panel of 60 by 50 cm, 3 layers of acrylic primer.

Using a Zorn palet : titanium white, ivory black, cadnium red and yellow ocre. No medium but just a bit of zestit brushcleaner/dilutant.

Need to work all over the painting when I have time again with thicker paint.

Walter

Do you think modern blacks work with a Zorn palette? I'd cheat by putting some blue in there. Can't really judge the colors by this picture though.
I love that contrasting light across the woman's face.

Yes it can wodrk with just ivory black ... i am also no purist and with this palette i typically use 2 more colers in a small quantity : ultramarine blue and alizarin crimson hue (or something simular) to give a bit more color in the clothing and the lips especially .... sofar I have not used them but I may later on.

Re: Marit - work in progress

Applied retouch varnish and framed it in a simple DIY frame .... handed over to the person portrayed, up to the next one
