Dr. Merrill Magnolia Wip

This painting is in the works-awaiting a pastel order to finish up the final marks.
Dr. Merrill Magnolia- from a WC photo reference. 9x12 on MiTientes.

It's a great start. Which pastels did you order? Brand and colors?

Karen, I decided to try some of Jackson's brand. I've heard good things about them. I ordered 10 colors and if they're satisfactory I'll order a lot more. The price is great, that's for sure!! I ordered, Red, Lavender Violet, Yellowish Green Field, Sky Blue, Turquoise Blue,Light Phthalo Green, Green Tea, Cool White and Warm White. All colors that I lack in the pastels I do have. I'm trying to collect pastels that will make up a palette for plein air as well as one for still life/floral.
