Scenes from Taos, NM

I have a lot of photos from Taos taken during our trip to New Mexico last spring. Here’s a painting I’m working on that’s a bit of a departure for me. Rather than a single view, it’s a composite of scenes from various photos that I took in the Taos area. Painted in oils on a 16x20 canvas.

Very nice work! We lived in Santa Fe for 5 years and would go up to Taos at least twice a month - also to Arroyo Seco - love both places -

Re: Scenes from Taos, NM

You have to pay a hefty fee to paint in the Taos Pueblo, but the entry fee now includes a photo allowance— so I took a lot of shots to paint from later.

Hi Tom, and welcome! Your painting is dynamic and interesting to explore. There's so many different components and moods. Really nicely done!

I sure enjoy how you combined all the elements in your painting. Contemporary and interesting with nice colors and lots to look at and enjoy. Glad you shared with us ...

Tom, I'm enjoying how you've combined the main SW icons into one image! I'm sure this is impressive on your wall!
