Kirby's Random Sketchbook

Hi everyone

I started, yet again, a new sketchbook. I think this one I might keep up with . I made it myself and I'm really proud of how it turned out. The paper isn't the best quality, but it's decent for what I'm using it for. My goal is to try and make a sketchbook that is actually interesting to look through.

Each page is 4.5" x 6"

I've been using a variety of mediums in this sketchbook. I've even have been using a white acrylic gesso on some of the pages so my markers wont bleed through. I'm trying to get over the fear of working on both sides of the paper

Re: Kirby's Random Sketchbook

The book is impressive so far, I can never seem to make a sketchbook that has just one big subject per page. Every time I go to flip a page I see empty space and feel compelled to fill it with something.

Gotta agree with Delofasht, that sketchbook looks superb and hardy. Also loving all the different sketch subjects. The purple owl and angel are particularly handsome, and I enjoy your scribbling movement.

Re: Kirby's Random Sketchbook

Delofasht: Thanks! I have the hardest time not doing one drawing on each page. This is the first sketchbook where I'm actually working on both sides of the paper. I'm typically super afraid of things bleeding through and ruining something I've already drawn

Munin Raven: Thank you! I'm glad you like my scribbles, I'm way too impatient to shade things in neat haha.

otherworlder: Homemade sketchbooks are my favorite because I can make them exactly how I want them to be, from size to paper type. Thank you for your kind words!

eyepaint: Thank you!

Here are some more sketches I've done in the past month and a half. I'm not filling this sketchbook up as fast as I'd like to, but I'm still making progress
