Acorns

The parking lot at my work has a mix of oaks and aspens growing on the islands. Every year when I pull in I notice the acorns growing and think that I need to grab some to draw or paint (as well as a few leaves before they get to torn up by the wind. Every year I forget and the local squirrels manage to harvest them before I remember. Not this year.

Cansons mixed media 7x10" sketchbook
Copic multimedia pens.

C&C welcome.

Clark

Re: Acorns

Really nice! They're like little chicks nestling together!

Re: Acorns

Thank you! I was struggling to decide how much cross hatch was too much on the caps and what to do with the leaves. I was surprised how quickly the initial drawing went on the paper.

Re: Acorns

Interesting and effective handling of the caps. I've always found it difficult to determine how much or how little work to put into describing them.
