The first emperor of America

A study on the one who will make America great and build walls around it.

Comments and critics welcome.

Re: The first emperor of America

Since America is not an "Empire" I don't think the title actually fits. The US has some "territories" but not a real "empire." I understand he has some "Liberace" type tastes in decorating. Gold plated everything. It is a nice likeness. I can't stand the man personally, but I see the likeness as accurate. More orange with the color of the face, and those white circles around the eyes would be more accurate. He also looks much older and fatter in real life.

Re: The first emperor of America

Napoleon was emperor of the Republic of France, so I don't see that big of a deal here... hehe.

Re: The first emperor of America

Cyrene, your illustration nails the likeness of Mr. Trump. I’m even more impressed with your talent after looking at your posting profile. On a side note, why is this forum such a desolate empty place? I do a bit of illustrative works, though not as well as you. Is there a posting site that is more Illustrator friendly than is Wetcanvas?

Thank you pa-paw! This used to be a good forum. But lately, there is little participation. I think we need more participation and posts. There is Behance too which is pretty good though I like Wetcanvas more because of its simplicity!

Re: The first emperor of America

Thank you for your comments. Since Mr. You-know-who used the word 'unpresidented', I think he might just be 'Emperor'!

I normally post my illustrations in the watercolor forum due to the much greater participation over there. That being said, illustrative work is most often treated as a “red-headed-stepchild” over there. They are more in the wall decorative paintings over there, but that is what sells. The computer graphic stuff seems to be pushing the traditional illustration artist out the door.

Re: The first emperor of America

It's done on A4 size paper and drawn with black ink. Coloring was done on scanned line art vectorized with InkScape.
