Re: Daily Wash Saturday 22nd February 2020

Sunny and temps climbing into the low 40'sF. Tomorrow we may hit 50F! But the week ahead looks messy.

I got my car washed and it will be clean for two whole days.

I picked a good weekend to take a long one. Yesterday we worked in the basement all day. I went through all my art magazines and got rid of almost all of them. It was hard to part with them but I've had them for years and almost never look at them again after reading them the first time. I kept a few that had things in them that I felt I could use but recycled the rest. I'm slowly going through my art stuff; oh my but I have WAY TOO MUCH of it.

Yesterday my legs and hips ached something terrible and so did Larry's knees. I thought it was weird because the weather isn't changing until Monday. Strange.

Oh Sylvia, ouch. I have always had hands that crack and bleed in winter and I'm forever using the liquid bandage to seal it. I have to re-apply quite frequently because I have my hands in water so much but it does give it time to heal. It stings horribly when you apply it but once that is gone it protects it. I hope you cut heals quickly.

Char, your poor son breaking his elbow! It must be very painful for him. I loved your paintings!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY USCHI!!! Enjoy your dinner out with your family.

We slept in and had a big breakfast and then back to the basement to work some more. We are cleaning the house today too. We wanted to get Justin's room painted but with him working nights he's sleeping during the day so...

I hope you all have a most fantastic day!

Re: Daily Wash Saturday 22nd February 2020

Good morning everyone - HAPPY BIRTHDAY, USCHI - enjoy your meal with your family, and, of course, put off housework until tomorrow - do something you like to do! And pleased to hear you are healing so well.

I'm glad Ted feels well enough to go with you for a drive, Char.

Great news, Annie.

Marshall, congratulations to your Chris on her retirement - have a wonderful trip.

Oh June, it seems neverending - please get better soon. Betty

Happy Birthday Uschi!

So glad to hear the wound is healing well.

Annie glad your rehab is going well and you are not in much pain. As I said before, great PT and OT people are worth their weight in gold. And good food.

Sylvia ow, ow, ow, ow.

Char loved your elephant and dragonfly. I am especially fond of dragonflies. I hate to say it, but, if you didn't eat anything else different, could you have had a reaction to the capers? That is exactly what happens to me when I eat something I can't tolerate. I used to have cast iron pots and pans because I had a tendency to anemia and didn't want to take iron pills. Gave them and just about everything else away when I moved away from LA the first time.

Ooh, ooh, speaking of, I made an omelette last night for dinner for the first time in ages. Sautéed vege and cheddar cheese. It was so nice to see it slide out onto the plate without having to jackhammer it out of there with the spatula.

Steve I got a little teary reading your post.

Marshal 42° in Florida is kinda chilly. Congrats to Chris.

Darla maybe Justin could sleep in a different room for a few days?

((((Bill and Janet))))

Need to go do something today. It's rising into the 50’s F this weekend after two brutally cold and windy but dry days. Yesterday I went to the Asian market. Had fun wandering up and down the aisles wondering how to cook with all that stuff. I'm sure I could look it up on the internet. Bought baby bok choy and organic mushrooms. Trying to decide on soup or something else with them. Hmmmmmm.

Okay, later,

Re: Daily Wash Saturday 22nd February 2020

Good afternoon! I have been making tiny hooks for the tiny peg board I made for the workshop. I am so glad that I have jewelry making tools to make the task easier.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY USCHI!!!!! It sounds like you have a wonderful day planned out! Yes, I had lots of ding-a-lings. I think they were happy that I came back to gamble, it had been over a year since we went to that casino.

To everyone and what Char and Uschi said. I am working in the studio all day today.

Re: Daily Wash Saturday 22nd February 2020

We had Matteo for 24 hours and just dropped him at home. So all of my plans were on hold. I’m going to put my feet up for awhile and then I need to get a few chores done.

Happy birthday Uschi - The boxes of food do have onions and garlic in some but you are doing the cooking yourself from fresh ingredients. Just leave them out.

It feels like spring here. Beautiful sunshine and the temp right now is 4.

Time to relax. See you all in the morning.

Re: Daily Wash Saturday 22nd February 2020

I am back from the dinner which was delicious and the company was great but unfortunately I did what I rarely do and that is I ate too much.

Again, THANK YOU everyone for your birthday wishes!! Hopefully we can do it again next year

Kay, wonderful that you are enjoying your new pans so much, you'll be motivated to do lots of cooking just so you can get thrilled over and over again

Sylvia, I forgot to say about your lost fingertip.

Darla, it will feel like a brand new house once you are done. I am glad you reminded me, I too need my car washed, will have to wait until the middle of the week, too busy on the weekend.

Lynn, I love having projects I enjoy and you are obviously enjoying your sewing!!

to you Ellen, Betty and June!!

Slouch and watch TV and try to digest all this food now.

ylvia, I forgot to say about your lost fingertip.

No, no, no....I only cut it, not cut it off. I was cleaning artichokes and the knife slipped as I was cutting the tops off. It is healing now, so not hurting as much as it did this morning.
