Due to the confinement,I’ve got this, the second in my series of Chimpanzee paintings, finished sooner than expected. The first one depicted males, this one depicts the solidarity of females. As was the case with the first painting,I wanted to portray the empathy they have for one another….hope I’ve succeeded.
27.5″ x 19.5″ (70 x 50cm) acrylic on water colour paper.
Happy painting

Hi Jess, it took 10 days to complete, working on and off,at a rough guess, including the complex drawing,I’d say it took 35-40hrs.I naturaly paint quite fast, because I like a painting to maintain the aspect of being a piece of art, without looking photorealistic.
Thank you so much for all your very kind compliments….very much appreciated.Happy painting
