Hails from Australia
Arches 'Cover' paper

Have just bought 50 sheets of Arches Cover paper for a good price from a lovely American woman leaving Sydney Australia.
http://www.jerrysartarama.com/arches-cover-paper

This paper seems not to be available at all in Australian art shops as I've looked about for a price comparison and clearer informaion about it's use and 'preferences' in the different printmaking processes..

It's a beautiful soft, cream coloured, 250gsm unsized paper at that I plan to use it for printmaking with traditional oil, Akua and waterbased inks. but I would like to find someone who has experience with this paper....

....is it 'better' with one type of ink to the others?
....is it better with relief or etching processes?
....will it stretch and emboss for collographs?

I'll try it for all the uses outlined on the Jerry's site but if you have experience with this paper in printmaking please let me know your thoughts.

Re: Arches 'Cover' paper

Hello,

Arches Cover is what I use for all my intaglio printmaking, as well as collagraphs. Soak it for about 20 minutes, and then blot dry before using. I sure envy you getting a deal on 50 sheets!
