Wave

Hi,
This is 8" x10" on a board.
I really enjoyed painting small.
I used 2 different photos for this painting that I had taken.
The wave was on one, and the sailboat on another. I added the seagulls.
Comments and critiques welcome.
I wish I lived on a beach!!

Hi Gay,
This is a beautiful painting!
I love the feeling you have captured of the expansiveness of the sea and sky!
The red boat in the distance is a very nice touch.
The wave is extremely well painted, as is the water and the sky, etc.
The composition is great.
The wave adds a feeling of tumult to this otherwise tranquil scene.
The horizontality of the forms is what produces the feeling of serenity.
But, alas, the wave, doesn't allow for a feeling of total peace.

i think i might have worked the sand a bit more- i dunno, photos always lose the feel. I like it a lot, the sand has a nice crystalline look to it.
