        my thought is to subdue everything to the white rushing water, will see how that turns out!

                    I like the first one the best, you did a great job with the contrast in the water’s bright reflection against the shadows of the plants. Having a good contrast with the water and the rest of the composition helps amplify that mirror effect of the water, making it look more realistic. I see what you’re doing with the addition of paint: it looks good so far. I think for the final stages with the plants, add more highlights, like a few bright greens here and there to add more three dimensional depth.

                                            Thanks for the comments. I have painted this subject before, and the challenge always seems to come with the rocks. I want to set everything up to finally do the rushing water.

                                                one thing I like is the water color, which is ult blue + cerulean blue + a bit of brown

                                                                The water is starting to really develop and I am interested in seeing that foreground develop. You really have some nice greens, blues, and yellows in there…
