Missing Pigment Number on the recent website update.

One feature that I really like on dickblick website is they include pigment information on the paint, it is very helpful since I know what I'm buying..

I recently notice that the website have been updated, but pigment information for paint are incomplete.. I wonder if you guys can include the pigment number like the older version of the website as some pigment have multiple version of pigment so if you include only the pigment name, it's not very useful and in fact it's practically useless...

for example, quinacridone magenta come in either PR122 or PR202, so by just going by the name quinacridone magenta, I wouldnt know if the pigment in the paint is PR122 or PR202.

another example would be phthalo blue, it come in PB15:1, PB15:3 or PB15:6, so by just listing phthalo blue, I dont know what is in the paint itself because I dont know which of the 3 pigments is in the paint..

Re: Missing Pigment Number on the recent website update.

Hi Calvin.

As you have noticed, we are making improvements to our website. Despite our extensive testing prior to releasing the changes, there were some unforeseen hiccups, like the missing pigment identifiers. We've always been proud to be many artists' resource for that information, and we're working to restore it as quickly as possible.

In the meantime, if you need assistance or clarification of the pigments used in colors on our site, please feel welcome to email [email protected]. We're happy to provide it to you!
