Joe, I love the bear with the book!!!

EP - I've had that scale for a long time and have no idea where I bought it...maybe Bed Bath & Beyond or Target. The brand is Slater.

Ai, the kimono is beautiful. I just saw an exhibit at the Met that had several kimonos. It looks like it is difficult to tie it and have it lay correctly. Glad that Iris was so patient. I have been enjoying your photos from the trip on FB.

Joe, nice shading on your scale! Mine resets to zero so you can put a plate on it and then just weigh the food. I use that feature a lot. Mine doesn't have all the other fancy nutrition features. I knew you had lived in NY but wasn't aware that you lived in so many places. That must have been interesting.

Jo, thanks. I have a small collection of glass pieces and three of them are fish. I like your idea for kaput. Fun to see the animals.

EP - Thanks for hosting. Sorry I didn't get more done.

It seems we didn't have a host for the next hunt. Pine Cone was nice enough to leave a hunt for us to post and I have done that. I couldn't figure out how to get it to appear as her post...maybe EP can do that. I don't want to take any credit away from Pine Cone, but it was getting late. The new hunt is now posted.

Joan and Everyone — I'm so sorry. I didn't explain myself well enough on the hosting thread. In my effort to help, I've confused things and made everything worse. I'm very, very sorry. That was not my intent.

I canNOT be the host, PLEASE do NOT tranfer the thread to my name.

For a more complete explanation, please see #592, post #3.

Jo — Good job on your blue and white fish shakers. You did well bringing them forward while retaining the patterning of the whole! Awww, sweet bunny Lovely sketches of shards, beautifully lit. Ditto on the 3D keys.

Joan — Love your camouflaged friend. What a character!!! Every nuance of your painting works to make it a special, beautiful, and unique portrait. And I love the coffee sketch especially today as I ran out of caffeine yesterday From fur to glass to kitchen, your sketches are all lovely. Best wishes for your show 🎨

Ai — Graceful painting of colorful Miss Iris in her complicated kimono. Wonderful! Happy travels and come home safe!

Jo - thank you and you're welcome

Joan - aha look at that sock. You'd need to sketch three faces if you sketched from the front - Alan's and his two shins

Joan posted the new list. Happy Sketching!!

Posting a day late for the record! With the Prismacolor 03 in the big book.
#8, keepsake - little carved elephants from Kenya, gift, this sketch is about double their size.
#9, kilogram - postage scale, thanks for the idea. Weighs up to 45 pounds and has TARE for Joe. Ha.
