Watered World extensions

yes, it has been a few weeks since last here... three reasons 1) had a stroke a month ago, so my attention has been on recovering, now about 75-80%, so can paint, write, and get around without a walker (tho have one if ever a relapse) tho use my cane... 2) had started a recovery project on an unfinished mural from the 90s that had stopped working on for a now forgotten reason, tho am guessing it was the overbearing tree on the right side, now removed - that being then a brush and acrylic was not mentioned here... and 3) had not thought of what to work on during the drying times of the mural, which, btw, is still in the grissaile stage (y'all know me - detail, then glaze colors all over)... well, have decided to continue with something had thought of doing after finishing "Watered World", but had gotten diverted from -

to continue with this world in a series of connected works that, tho stand-alone, together would show a panoramic imaginary water world into the future... am at present on the first, at present called "Reclusive Elements"... of which not have enough sketched worth showing - tho maybe by nightfall...

Re: Watered World extensions

Robert, so sorry you had a stroke. Glad you are recovering. Scary.
I really like your Watered World Extensions. What size is it? Do you use colored ink or is it a glaze over black ink work?
Bill

Re: Watered World extensions

Watered World is 30"x20", the Reclusive Elements prob will be 40"x20", and the one following 32"x40"... the rest depends on what I decide will be the themes...
my grissaille is prussian blue, and the inks are acrylic inks...

Looking good!

I was told that drawing and painting was good for neural improvement after stroke. Best wishes for recovery! Keep that brain active.

I like everything about this, the style, detail and colours all work well
together. Really nice.

Re: Watered World extensions

I've loved following your work for years.
I'm sorry to hear about the stroke but it doesn't look like your artistic talents have been affected!

This looks great. Keep up the rehab!

Re: Watered World extensions

at least mentally still have the imagination... physically have down days, tho in general it seems to keep improving most every day, and am sure the exercising helps... got the board, and am at present transferring the sketch - should be doing some grissaille work tomorrow, and will post...

That looks like my kind of world, I swim every day. That is really sharp.

Glad you're improving, take care!
