Re: Newbie Glass Help and Coffee House

Deronda I so totally agree with you. Seems like we need to cultivate our interest that feed our soul. I've been eyeing my torch and my watercolors.. but instead have had to do other things. I suppose I need to squedule that in too!

Glad things are finally warming up for you!

Maggie.. thats great you can see what you want rather than what you feel you should do. I feel at times even when you are scared it is best to take that leap. If you don't know will never know what might have been ! YOU GO GiRL! Pretty soon you will be all done!

I'll tell ya.. I would have filled your yard.. with all the day lillies and what have you! But its finally coming along. mulch is almost all down. Still have some areas to weed.. but the worse of it is done.. finally!

Re: Newbie Glass Help and Coffee House

43 degrees this morning, but I am going to guess that planting will begin very, very soon. I can see the grass beginning to green up and the trees are getting the tiniest buds, but it's so much better than all the white.

Jeff went to help my son fix his car. I decided to stay home...I hope they behave themselves or at least have lots of fun.

Diane, glad you got most of the yard work done. There is so much I could do with this yard, but I run out of time. I need low maintenance...most of the time I can barely keep up with the mowing.

Re: Newbie Glass Help and Coffee House

Hope all my newbie friends who are moms had a special Mother's Day. It came and went in a blur.

Checked one more thing off my list of things to do last night: CPR re-certification. Down to 11 days of student teaching, law case study project, powerpoint spring presentation and exit interview, final wrap up meeting with my supervisor, and I think that is all! That list looks very short and doable to me even though it may sound long. Easy peasy!

It's been in the 90s and though we may be headed for a cooling trend, I have the feeling that once I am finished with school, it is going to be too hot in my garage for glass. I may have to sacrifice comfort for my torch at least once though.

Re: Newbie Glass Help and Coffee House

Went to Kindergarten Graduation yesterday for Izzy; Class of 2025 and doesn't that sound like a big, big number? Haven't seen much of my husband. They are doing 16-18 hour days as farmers scramble to get crops seeded.

It rained yesterday, but it's still chilly here. My store is about 55 degrees but I refuse to turn the heat on in the middle of May...that is just silly.

Maggie, glad your list is getting shorter. Maybe you will get some cooler days to torch, but I find the weather's schedule seldom matches mine for some reason.
