Thanks Jamie.
I have tried a tiny bit with the DS colour dots, so I know it looks nice, it's helpful to hear from a couple of others that it works well as a 'primary crimson' 'cos there isn't much paint to play with in those dots!

Has anyone tried Daniel Smith Carmine? From what I can find the pigment is good, and from my Try It dots, it seems to be a gorgeous crimson but also washes down to a useful pink. It mixes to create beautiful reds, oranges and purples - the perfect primary?

Before I go and splurge to give it a proper run - has anyone tried it?
