This is another 6″x4 1/2″, gouache on watercolor paper.
I cut my 9″x12″ paper into 4 little sheets to work on.
It allows me to practice without buying so much paper
        and paint.

        C&C welcome

Once again on this piece I love the solid feel of the objects and the good definition of the light source. Was this and the fruit bowl painted from life? Gary

Very nice. Great idea on cutting paper into smaller pieces. I just got a paper cutter to do this with my 9×12 pads. The smaller painting makes it feel more doable for me.

                Thanks Gary.
They are both painted from life. I have painted
from photos at times but I prefer life.

                    Thanks Misspris.
I think the fine details are easier with the
larger sheets but for doing the larger masses
the small sheets are just fine.

Very nicely done. I love the shading and blending you’ve done.

It looks to me, though, as if the perspective for the cube is different from the cylinder; i. e. the top of the cube appears to me to be viewed from a steeper angle than the top of the cylinder. Did you use the same vanishing points in both cases?
