My friends' garden

Just enjoyed doing this. I didn't make a big 'thing' of the sky in order to focus on the garden....a gift for a gardening friend. Not too many flowers blooming as seen late Spring in the north.
It measures 50.5 x 40.5 cms.

What a beautiful, lush garden! I love the variety of greens you have used, and the little lily pad stream (path?) The freshness and tranquility of these surroundings really comes through, as well as the wonderful landscaping design of the garden itself. Your friend will love it!

It's one of two paintings (gifts) which we are packing to travel tomorrow. The varnish is a bit tacky still so here's hoping it won't be damaged in a suitcase on the flight. Trying to make a raised wrapping...wish me luck!:clear :
