“House Sparrow”, 12″x12″ oil pastel on canvas. Painting this little lady was pure joy

Delightful Becky. I love sparrows. Yours really shows the perky nature of these little birds.

She’s beautiful! I like sparrows very much…they’re so often taken for granted, but they are lovely and have a pretty song. This is a beautiful piece – that eye is especially stunning!

His is really good Becky, nice and delicate, I like the hint of a shadow. We have lots of sparrows nesting in the houses around here, they completely vanish over summer and autumn, then in winter they all slowly come back. I love watching them on the feeders.

It’s a wonder how much expression you got out of the bird, with the eyes, and the posture.

                            I love the feet.

Congratulations! I’m so glad you showed it to us.

Great work, very distinctive and natural pose for a sparrow :)

Thank you all very much for the feedback. I strived to capture all the expression I could, and to highlight the subtle beauty of her colors. Your comments make me feel successful! Thanks again
