My lucky week

I have been very lucky this week. I bid on, and won, two exciting items on ebay.

First was a Swordfish electric pencil sharpener, which should have cost almost £120 according to Amazon.co.uk, and I got it for £35! This is a wonderful machine but very big and heavy so only for studio use. Sharpens a long point on my coloured pencils in about 4 seconds.

Then I was lucky enough to win a wooden box set of Lyra pencils. Most of them are colored, with some carbons and charcoal thrown in as well. This is priced at almost £200 on Amazon and I got it for £65.

I now have new toys to play with.

Regards,

Carol

Can't say that it was a particularly great month for me but I am glad that at least I am not an exile from Wetcanvas anymore . (btw, why does Google insist that I write "parasitically'' instead of "particularly" ?)

News for fellow colored pencil addicts.

The reintroduction of Bruynzeel started today at Dick Blick. The sets and open stocking of colored pencil and watercolor pencil appeared on their website this morning. They are backordered until mid-March.
