I built this 6' easel especially for use in my wet-on-wet Oil Painting. It's made from Oak and Cherry hardwood I had leftover from other jobs. It has an oversized tray to accomodate a pallet and has an opening for a 2-3lb. coffee container for my solvent. I keep a screen in the bottom of my solvent container, so all of the loose paint settles on the bottom, and I don't have to replace the solvent as often. I'm mounting a Paper towel roller under the tray for wiping my brushes etc. I drilled 2 half inch holes in the top corners of the easel to accomodate a drafting lamp. I think I'll install a 3 inch tube on the tray's left side for my brushes and knives as well. Everything will be right within arms reach. The center mast reaches nearly 11 feet, for tall works.
The tray is adjustable like most H-Frame easels.
Have I missed anything??
