"In Sight" FINISHED

Hi everyone!!

In addition to the eagle I am working on I had already transferred a wolf sketch onto a 14x18 board and had kind of forgot about it.

This was before I decided that all my work from now on would be based off my own references.

I still do not know how I forgot that I had a board ready to start!! I got permission to use the reference from the photographer ages ago!

This is the second time I have done a wolf on scratchboard, lets just say the first one was kind of a disaster!

This is where I am at the moment.

As you can see I jump around the board a lot.

I want the wolf looking at something but I don't know what, any suggestions?

All C and Cs are welcome and thanks for looking!

Re: Wolf - WIP

Great start Irfan! Maybe the wolf could be watching a type of prey? Rabbit? I'll be watching.

I have to laugh at your comment of your first being a disaster. I can't imagine any of yours turning out as a disaster. This is fantastic already.

Irfan,
This is such a great picture just as it is, coming into the light from darkness, it is so interesting just at this stage, I love it. As for the wolf looking at something, in my opinion, just leaving it unknown, adds to the mystery. Gail.

Re: Wolf - WIP

This will be a good one. I agree the viewer does not need to know what is being looked at. The gaze of a wolf is hypnotic even without knowledge of the intended target/meal/den/offspring/mate. I will be watching the completion. Rick

Re: Wolf - WIP

Very good start here! I'm with Sue, I like not knowing. I like it when the viewer is allowed to complete a piece with their imagiination, making the viewer a part of the process.

I like not knowing, too, for the same reasons as Diana mentioned. It looks like it will have one of my favorite things, too...strong dramatic lighting. Looking forward to watching this develope, Irfan!

Looking great so far, Irfan. I agree with others that the object of his stare should be left to the viewer's imagination.
