This is beautiful – I recently did a shirt course on using pan pastels as backgrounds for coloured pencil work but the potential of using them for more ‘abstracty’ work is good!

I’ve attached a couple of examples!

Thank you, Janjoa1! You know, i never thought of using pan pastels for backgrounds, but it makes total sense, i will try them! Best.

Love this one Annette, and I am not usually drawn to abstracts. Your use of the curves and shading, as well as color harmony, just make this one so interesting. I also really like the cords/ropes of the swing! I love teal and turquoise. The painting made me smile!

I feel drawn into this; I very much like the use of light and the use of color, particularly in the center/focus. Excellent.

Annette I’m always drawn to your use of light and dark to make the most of your delightful subjects. I’m betting this large painting is very impactful!

The framed painting looks so nice. I really like this one!😁
In Spanish the cashew fruit is called “Marañón”, so i call the cashew fruit couple “Mara” and “Ñon”… 😂😂 everyone gets a kick out of this word game…😊.
