I’ve got 20lbs of raw beeswax that i’d like to remove the pollen from. Anyone familiar with the process of bleaching beeswax? If possible i’d prefer a non-chemical process … but compromises can be made.
The ultimate goal is to make my own inexpensive medium.
However, to make the wax white naturally, there is only one solution: expose it to the Sun and to the open air. However, since the process is not the fastest, industrialists can use chemical substances that allow the whitening of wax… This is how beeswax can sometimes be bleached using oxidizing agents such as bichromate, potassium permanganate, peroxides etc.
I tried without success.. Sunshine not warm enough
