Re: Wine&spaghetti
Not only beautifully painted but so tasty looking too! That spaghetti! Looks so fresh out of the pot...so much fluidity - yes beautifully cooked!

Re: Wine&spaghetti
Deirdre & Dennis, thank you very much for appreciations!
My client has saw the pictures and like them and by Monday he should receive the paintings. I can't wait his comments. If you haven't a professional camera, there is a quite big difference between the photo and the painting in person.

Re: Wine&spaghetti
Daniel...at the rate you're going, you should be able to command a high enough price to buy yourself a professional camera!!
I wouldn't worry if they look good with a cheap camera...they will look fabulous in real life!!!

Re: Wine&spaghetti
Oh, Deirdre....You're right! if I'd ask the price usually asked for similar paintings. But you probably already know that people give high amounts for "names" not for works of art which they like.
I can't tell here the price for these 4 commissioned paintings but I can say that I can't afford to set a decent price only to wait the rich guy less interested by the name of the artist. I did it on 2008 - 2010 while I had a job when I sold just a couple of paintings because of that. In the summer of 2011, I was in an urgent need of a high amount of money so I lowered the prices. As a result I sold almost all the paintings I had.
This is why I can't throw away 1000 to a semi-pro camera ...and, on the other hand, no one would sell you here in Romania on installments if you have no job contract by at least the time of the payment of installments

Re: Wine&spaghetti
You'll just have to settle for a semi pro like the Canon EOS 450D which is less than half the price now! Mine was over £500...but they now sell for around 300...but you can get a very good result with them....my grandson is on a University photography course and used to 'borrow' mine when he could ....he has now bought his own.

Re: Wine&spaghetti
I like it but overall it could greatly benefit from adding lost edges.

Re: Wine&spaghetti
Amazing work, Daniel. The client must have been so pleased! I also don't have a good camera, but make do with make shift lightboxes and settings. I used white and black card to photograph my avatar painting. I had a lot of glare issues, but this helped the most of anything!
