Use to denote nudity/mature subject matter Figure drawings from today (March 1st)

Hello,

we had a very nice model today. I tried a new paper and I like it and it is really cheap, I like that too.

Not a very successful evening, but it was fun.

Nevermind the arrows, they are just my mental notes I make on the go, did this the first time today with them arrows, so I can better analyze afterwards why the drawing wont work.

All are 10 minute poses.

Hey Duston Looking great ! , No 1 is great for proportions but the far leg is missing a kneecap , 6 7 and 8 Look good to me in terms of shapes ... keep at it , the harder you work the more you will grow !!

Hi Sascha, the shapes seemed to improve as you went along certainly from number 4 and my favourite is 6. I like your blocking in of the hands in the first one. Keep doing this and try looking for the big shape relationships. With the blocking in it actually helps when adding the individual fingers (a pencil can help show the triangular or more complex shapes). The last one has some tricky foreshortening and perspective. The left foot seems too small: make sure that the width of the foreshortened limb is big enough (ie. the directions that aren't foreshortened). I like your idea with the arrows.

Great stuff! You are getting better at relative proportions, sense of volume, mass etc. since you first started posted. Goes to show how much practice really matters. Your lines and curves look so much more confident. That you got all these down in 10 minutes each is impressive! #4 and #6 are cool!
