Thank you.
Pleased you are enjoying them!
I process in LR, with a little cropping, dodging and burning when necessary.

Looks like I could reach right into my screen and grab that Iris. It is so clear and crisp and also natural looking.

Same with your shot Lorelei, the petals are perfectly exposed and isolated from the darker background. Perfect push pull drawing the eye to the flower.

Another macro using multiple flashes to add contrast to a evenly and flatly lit sunflower.

Stellar images Lorell, Peter, and Dudley (or is it Douglas?).

Same with your shot Lorelei,

Douglas, I can see you have been reading some of the comments in the recent posts!

Hey, that yellow flower is a powerfully good shot. So, you are surrounding the flower with softboxes or are you using strobes? When did you get into that? The lighting here is awesome. There is a richness in the color. My goodness that is good. Whatever and however you did it, it shouts professional work.

Lorell

Dave and Dougie, thanks for the nice comments regarding my nosegay.

Re: Show Us Your Best Stuff, JUNE, 2019

I think I've finally produced an image good enough for this thread. It's a Canna Lily at a neighbor's home.

[Nikon D7500 with Nikkkor 18-300mm @ 122mm, manual mode, 1/1000 sec, f/10, ISO 500, processed in ACR and PSCS5]

I've enjoyed viewing and shooting these flowers for years. Apparently they need to be pruned back each year, just like roses. But these Canna Lilies regrow even faster than roses; seems like they go from ground level to a meter tall in around a month.

I was surprised at the coloring of this bunch, because all the others here are either a deep orange or red-orange. These (on the same plants, I believe) decided to stand out by choosing to become a lighter peachy color.
