Great photos and thank you so much for hosting!

Those fire and ice roses are gorgeous! Do you grow them?

Glad you like them. No, these are my brother’s roses.

I love roses, it gets too hot and humid in the summer here for the fancies. In NY I had about thirty different kinds. This year I’m going to try and grow mallow (as in the marsh mallow family). We were sidelined by that big snowstorm we had last week, but I think spring is finally here, I can’t wait to get outside!

I started off with wc and got slightly frustrated so I changed to cp for the final layer. 6×4

That gives a really nice rich effect. I think you’re on to something. That works especially well on the hair and fur.

    Well done!!

Looks like we might get snow! Its normally in the fifties to sixties here at this time of year. It’s been a crazy year, but no tornadoes in our area yet so that’s good at least.

I’ve used CP or pastels on top of wc many times to make them pop or otherwise rescue them, LOL! Christel, you’ve captured the child’s innocence at play with the dog. Superb!

Here’s an atc, 2.5 by 3.5 inches in acrylic of the wine.

I think my bottle is a little wonky shaped!

That’s a very well painted wine still life, Virginia, nothing wonky here. Maybe you’ve had too much to drink? Need to start mine soon!

Weird weather with almost freezing Saturday night, then 92 yesterday! No rain in months. Bad wildfires already north in Amarillo, about 4 hours from us.

Thank you! We woke up to about four inches of snow today, then it was so warm it melted by noon. We’re supposed to be in the seventies by Wednesday.

Hope the fires keep away from you, Kay!
