Thanks Karen. That helps alot, I've become to dependent on my colorless blender, but I think I will benefit from learning new ways, until I can buy more of the blenders, unless I get hooked on doing things this way .

the lions all looked like rather mangy things. Their fur is not shiny and beautiful.

lion hair looks downright DUSTY.. so does Black jaguar hair..

Just my two cents of thought on the dusty in the fur. I wonder (as I haven't tried it myself) if playing around with just layering the pencils and don't burnish, if that is what might help get that dusty look in the fur???? Because burnishing is great to use to make things look shiny and smooth.

For example the same colors are used to create a peach and a nectarine. If you want a peach you leave it layered, so it looks all fuzzy. If you want a nectarine you burnish it to make it smooth and shiny. Just my thought's, feel free to ignore me .

Oh Safari Jane, I've been away for a while. I hope all is going better for you. You are doing a beautiful job as usual on this lion.

Sending hugs...

Kathy
